Freightliner Cascadia 116/126 Switch Trim-ID Label
Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner Cascadia 116/126 Switch Trim-ID Labels
Will these switch trim labels fit my specific Cascadia model year?
These switch trim-ID labels are designed specifically for Freightliner Cascadia 116 and 126 models from 2008 to 2017. They are direct replacements for the original factory labels found on the dashboard switch panels. For 2018 and newer Cascadia models, the switch panel design changed, so these labels will not be compatible. Always verify your truck's model year before ordering.
What material are these labels made from, and how long will they last?
Our switch trim labels are manufactured from high-quality vinyl with a protective UV-resistant coating. The material is designed to withstand the harsh conditions inside a truck cab, including direct sunlight, temperature extremes, and frequent handling. With proper installation, these labels typically last 5-7 years before showing signs of wear. The adhesive backing is automotive-grade and won't leave residue if removed.
How difficult is it to install these labels, and what tools do I need?
Installation is straightforward and requires no special tools. You'll need a clean microfiber cloth, rubbing alcohol for surface preparation, and about 15-20 minutes. Simply clean the existing switch panel surface thoroughly, let it dry completely, then carefully align and apply the new label. The adhesive is pressure-sensitive, so firm pressing ensures proper bonding. Many drivers complete this installation during their pre-trip inspection time.
Do these labels come in different styles or just OEM replacement?
We offer both OEM-style replacements that match your factory labels exactly, as well as custom options. The standard labels feature white text on a black background, matching the original Cascadia design. Custom options include chrome-look finishes, colored text variations, and even personalized text for specific switch functions you may have added aftermarket. All styles maintain the same dimensions and fit as factory labels.
Can I remove and reposition these labels if I make a mistake during installation?
While the adhesive is designed for permanent installation, you have a small window for repositioning immediately after application. If you need to adjust within the first 30 seconds, you can carefully lift and reposition the label. However, once the adhesive fully bonds (after about 5 minutes), removal will likely damage the label. We recommend taking your time with alignment before pressing down firmly. If you need to remove an old label, use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive first.
