Do You Need a Unibilt or Non-Unibilt Kit?
Before you buy, check your sleeper connection.
Unibilt Sleepers: These are attached with a rubber boot and bolts. Our BestFit and Fibertech Unibilt kits are designed to bolt directly onto the existing cab flange, making for a straightforward installation that retains your factory air ride geometry.
Non-Unibilt (Integral): Common on older 379s, these require cutting the sleeper away from the cab. We stock comprehensive conversion panels that cover the "hole" left behind, providing a factory-smooth finish that seals out weather and noise.
Extended vs. Flush Mount Panels
Flush Mount (Flat Back): The best choice for vocational trucks where every inch of frame rail matters. These panels sit flush with the back of the cab, maximizing space for dump bodies, headache racks, or hydraulic tanks.
Extended Day Cab Kits (6-Inch XL): If you are a taller driver or run long hours, the XL Big Window Kit is the industry standard. That extra 6 inches of depth allows for full seat travel and recline, preventing that cramped feeling common in standard day cabs.
Finish the Job: Interior & Suspension
A fiberglass shell is only half the battle. To keep your ride quiet and comfortable, pair your exterior panel with our bonded interior upholstery kits. Available in OEM colors (Tan, Gray, Black), these interiors cover the raw fiberglass and insulate against road noise. Converting the sleeper removes the rear cab support. So, add a day cab air ride kit to secure the back and ensure a smooth ride.
