Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 330/335/337 Interior Dash Trim
Will these dash trim pieces fit my specific Peterbilt 330, 335, or 337 model year?
Most of our dash trim pieces are designed to fit Peterbilt 330, 335, and 337 models from 2005 to 2015. However, there were minor dashboard changes in 2011 that may affect fitment of certain pieces. We recommend checking your OEM or contacting us with your truck's specific year and dash configuration (standard vs. deluxe package) to ensure proper fitment. Pay special attention to radio cutout dimensions if you have an aftermarket stereo system.
What's the difference between ABS plastic and chrome-plated trim options?
Our ABS plastic trim pieces are lightweight, impact-resistant, and come in various finishes including woodgrain, carbon fiber look, and brushed aluminum appearance. They typically cost less and are easier to install. Chrome-plated options are actual metal pieces with a mirror-finish chrome coating that offers superior durability and a premium appearance but require more careful handling during installation to avoid scratching. Chrome pieces generally last longer but cost approximately 40-60% more than ABS alternatives.
How difficult is the installation, and what tools do I need?
Installation difficulty varies by piece, but most dash trim can be installed in 1-3 hours with basic tools. You'll need a trim removal tool set, Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, and possibly a 7mm or 8mm socket for certain pieces. The gauge cluster bezel and center console trim typically require removing 4-6 screws and carefully unclipping the old pieces. AC vent surrounds are usually the easiest, requiring only gentle prying with trim tools. We include installation instructions with most pieces, and many customers complete the job without professional help.
Do these trim pieces come with the mounting clips and hardware?
About 70% of our trim pieces include necessary mounting hardware when OEM clips are integrated into the trim design. However, some pieces reuse your existing factory clips, which may need replacement if broken during removal. We sell universal trim clip kits separately for $12-18 that include the most common sizes used in these Peterbilt models. If your original clips are damaged or missing, we recommend ordering a clip kit with your trim to avoid installation delays.
How do I match new trim pieces with my existing interior?
Color matching can be challenging, especially with woodgrain patterns that varied by production year. Our "Classic Burl" matches most 2005-2010 factory woodgrain, while "Modern Walnut" typically matches 2011-2015 interiors. For two-tone interiors, we recommend replacing all visible trim pieces at once for the best appearance. Take a photo of your current dash in natural light and email it to us for color matching assistance. Keep in mind that sun-faded original trim may not match new pieces perfectly, which is why many customers choose to update all trim simultaneously.
