Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T660 AC Vents
Will these AC vents fit my specific year model Kenworth T660?
Our Kenworth T660 AC vents are designed to fit model years 2008-2015. These vents are direct replacements for the original factory vents and will fit both the driver and passenger side dash panels. Before ordering, we recommend checking your existing vent dimensions and comparing them with our product specifications. If your T660 has had any custom dash modifications, please contact our customer service team for fitment verification.
Are these vents made of the same material as OEM, and will they last as long?
Most of our T660 AC vents are manufactured from high-grade ABS plastic, which matches or exceeds OEM specifications. The louvers and adjustment mechanisms are designed to withstand repeated use without breaking or becoming loose. Many drivers report these aftermarket vents lasting 5-7 years with normal use. For maximum longevity, avoid using excessive force when adjusting the louvers and periodically clean the vents to prevent dust buildup in the adjustment mechanisms.
How difficult is it to install these vents, and what tools will I need?
Installation typically takes 15-30 minutes per vent and requires basic hand tools. You'll need a trim removal tool or flat-head screwdriver wrapped in cloth to prevent scratching, and possibly a Phillips screwdriver depending on your model. The vents are held in place by spring clips that snap into the dash opening. The most common challenge is removing the old vent without damaging the surrounding dash material. We recommend gently prying from multiple points around the vent rather than forcing from one side.
Do these vents come in different styles or finishes to match my interior?
We offer T660 AC vents in several finishes including matte black, chrome, and wood grain to match various interior trim packages. The matte black is the most popular and matches the standard T660 interior. Chrome vents are ideal for trucks with chrome interior accents, while wood grain options complement luxury interior packages. All styles maintain the same airflow performance and adjustment range as the original vents.
Why do my new vents not stay in position or keep falling closed?
If your new vents won't hold position, the issue is typically related to installation or a defective adjustment mechanism. First, ensure the vent is fully seated and all clips are properly engaged in the dash opening. If the vent is loose in the opening, the weight distribution will cause it to fall. For vents that won't hold their louver position, check if there's any plastic flashing from manufacturing that might be preventing smooth operation. If the problem persists, this would be covered under our warranty for replacement.
