International PayStar 5000 Floor Trim
Frequently Asked Questions About International PayStar 5000 Floor Trim
Will this floor trim fit my specific year PayStar 5000 model?
Our floor trim is designed to fit International PayStar 5000 models from 2005 through 2018. However, there were minor cab variations between model years. For 2005-2010 models, the trim requires no modifications. For 2011-2018 models, you may need to adjust the mounting holes slightly due to updated cab designs. We recommend measuring your existing floor trim or contacting us with your VIN to confirm exact fitment before ordering.
What material is the floor trim made from, and how durable is it?
Our PayStar 5000 floor trim is manufactured from heavy-duty aluminum diamond plate that's 0.125 inches thick, providing excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, and impact damage. The aluminum construction makes it significantly lighter than steel alternatives while maintaining durability. Most customers report their trim lasting 5-7 years in heavy commercial use before showing significant wear. The trim features a mill finish that can be polished or left natural.
How difficult is the installation, and what tools do I need?
Installation typically takes 1-2 hours and requires basic hand tools. You'll need a drill with 5/16" and 3/8" bits, a rivet gun with aluminum rivets (not included), or self-tapping screws. The trim comes pre-cut but not pre-drilled to allow for minor cab variations. Most customers find alignment straightforward using the existing floor mat edges as a guide. Some trimming may be required around the pedals and seat base, which can be done with tin snips or a jigsaw.
Does the floor trim come as a complete set, and what areas does it cover?
Yes, our floor trim comes as a complete 3-piece set that covers the driver's side floor, passenger side floor, and center transmission hump area. The set includes all necessary pieces to protect the entire cab floor area from the firewall to behind the seats. Each piece overlaps slightly for complete coverage. The trim does not include the rear wall or sleeper entrance areas, which are sold separately for extended cab models.
Can I install this over existing rubber floor mats or carpeting?
For best results and proper fitment, we recommend removing existing floor mats or carpeting before installation. Installing over rubber mats will raise the floor height and may interfere with pedal clearance and seat adjustment. The trim is designed to sit directly on the cab's metal floor, providing only 1/8" of added height. Many customers use adhesive-backed foam strips (not included) between the trim and floor to reduce noise and prevent moisture collection.
