Our billet aluminum knobs are CNC-machined from solid aluminum and feature anodized finishes that won't chip or peel. Based on customer feedback, the aluminum knobs typically last 3-4 times longer than plastic alternatives, especially for frequently used controls like the fan speed and temperature knobs.

How difficult is it to replace these knobs, and what tools do I need?

Replacing dash knobs is typically a 5-minute job that requires no special tools. Most knobs simply pull straight off - grip firmly and pull directly outward. For stubborn knobs, wrap a cloth around the knob and use gentle rocking motion while pulling. Some AC/heater control knobs have a small set screw on the side that requires a 1/16 inch Allen wrench. Never use pliers directly on the knob as this can damage the finish. If a knob is extremely tight, apply a small amount of penetrating oil where the shaft meets the knob and wait a few minutes before attempting removal.
