Freightliner Cascadia 113/125 Mud Flaps
Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner Cascadia 113/125 Mud Flaps
Will these mud flaps fit my specific year and model Cascadia?
Our mud flaps are designed to fit Freightliner Cascadia 113 and 125 models from 2008 to present (2024). However, there are slight mounting variations between pre-2018 and 2018+ models. Pre-2018 models typically use a standard 4-bolt pattern, while 2018 and newer models may require additional bracket adapters for proper fitment. We recommend checking your existing mounting holes or contacting us with your VIN for exact compatibility verification.
What's the difference between rubber and poly mud flaps, and which should I choose?
Rubber mud flaps offer superior flexibility and crack resistance in extreme cold (down to -40?F), making them ideal for northern climates and winter driving. They typically last 3-5 years. Poly mud flaps are more rigid, resist chemical damage better, and maintain their shape in hot weather, lasting 5-7 years on average. For mixed climate driving, rubber is generally preferred for its all-weather performance. Heavy-duty applications with frequent off-road use benefit from the durability of poly options.
Do I need to drill new holes or modify my truck for installation?
Most of our mud flaps are designed as direct bolt-on replacements using existing factory mounting points. Standard installations require no drilling and take approximately 30-45 minutes per side. However, if you're upgrading from OEM 24-inch to extended 30-inch or 36-inch mud flaps, you may need to install extension brackets (sold separately) which could require 2-4 additional mounting holes. All necessary hardware is included with full sets.
What sizes are available and how do I know which length I need?
We stock mud flaps in 24-inch, 30-inch, and 36-inch lengths, with widths ranging from 24 to 30 inches. To determine the correct size, measure from your mounting point to approximately 6-8 inches above ground level when the truck is loaded. Most Cascadia 113/125 models use 24x24 inch for standard applications, while lowered trucks or those with larger tires typically require 30-inch lengths. Check your state regulations as some require specific coverage widths.
Are stainless steel weights worth the extra cost over standard weights?
Stainless steel weights cost approximately 40% more but offer significant long-term value. They resist rust and corrosion completely, maintaining their appearance for 10+ years versus 2-3 years for painted weights. This is especially important in regions using road salt or for trucks frequently washed. Standard painted weights work well for mild climates and budget-conscious operators, but require periodic repainting to prevent rust-through.
