Ford F600-F700 Truck Fuel Tanks

Frequently Asked Questions About Ford F600-F700 Truck Fuel Tanks

Will this fuel tank fit my specific Ford F600 or F700 model year?

Fuel tank fitment on the F600-F700 series can vary by model year, cab configuration, and wheelbase, so it's important to confirm the tank's dimensions, mounting hole pattern, and neck/sender location against your truck before ordering. If you're unsure, check your existing tank's measurements or reach out to our team with your VIN or truck specs so we can help verify compatibility.

What materials are these fuel tanks made from, and how do they hold up over time?

Fuel tanks in this category are typically constructed from steel or aluminum. Steel tanks are durable and often more budget-friendly, while aluminum tanks resist corrosion better and tend to be lighter. Both materials are built to handle daily commercial use, but exposure to road salt, moisture, and general wear can affect longevity depending on the material and how the truck is used.

How many gallons do these tanks hold, and does capacity affect fitment?

Capacity varies across the tanks listed in this category, so check the specific gallon rating and physical dimensions listed on each product page. A larger capacity tank may have different mounting brackets or strap positions, so make sure the tank you choose matches both your fuel range needs and the physical space available on your frame.

What's involved in installing a replacement fuel tank on my truck?

Installation generally involves draining and removing the old tank, transferring or replacing the sending unit and fuel lines, and securing the new tank with the appropriate straps or mounting brackets. Because fuel systems involve safety considerations, we recommend having the installation performed by someone experienced with commercial truck fuel systems, and always following proper procedures for handling fuel and venting the tank.

Do these tanks come with the sending unit, straps, or mounting hardware included?

This varies by listing, some tanks are sold as the tank only, while others may include straps or additional hardware. Always check the product description for what's included before ordering, and confirm whether your existing sending unit, fuel cap, and lines will transfer over or need to be purchased separately.
