DPF Comp

Frequently Asked Questions About DPF Comp

What is included in the DPF Comp category?

This category covers diesel particulate filter (DPF) components for semi trucks, including DPF filters, housings, connector pipes, clamps, sensors, and related hardware used in your truck's exhaust aftertreatment system. These parts are designed to fit specific engine and exhaust configurations, so it's important to check part specifications before ordering.

How do I know if a DPF component will fit my truck?

Fitment depends on your truck's make, model, engine family, and year, as well as the specific aftertreatment system installed by the manufacturer. Always cross-reference the OEM part number.

Are these DPF parts new, or remanufactured, or cleaned units?

4 State Trucks does not sell professionally cleaned & tested products. All products will be new from the manufacture, or remanufactured. Check the individual product description for details on item condition and any warranty coverage that applies.

What are common signs that a DPF component needs to be replaced?

Common indicators include reduced engine power, frequent regeneration cycles, dashboard warning lights (such as DPF or check engine lights), increased backpressure readings, and visible cracks or damage to the filter housing. If you're experiencing these symptoms, it's a good idea to have the system inspected before ordering a replacement part.

Is it legal to modify or remove DPF components from my truck?

Diesel particulate filters are part of your truck's federally regulated emissions system. Removing or bypassing a DPF is illegal under EPA regulations for trucks operated on public roads. We recommend replacing components with compliant parts and consulting a qualified technician to ensure your exhaust system meets applicable emissions requirements.
