Heavy-Duty Semi Truck Exhaust Stacks

Replace a damaged stack or change the look of your truck with aftermarket semi truck exhaust stacks in chrome, stainless steel, aluminized steel, and raw-finish options. Choose from miter, flat top, West Coast turnout, curved, Bull Hauler, Short 30, straight, and other custom styles in a wide range of diameters and lengths.

Before choosing a stack by appearance, confirm how it connects to your existing exhaust. Stack diameter, bottom connection size, ID or OD fit, overall length, and available cab clearance all affect compatibility.

Choose the Right Exhaust Stack Diameter

The visible stack diameter determines the truck’s overall look, but it does not necessarily match the diameter of the exhaust system underneath it. Many larger custom stacks use a reduced bottom so they can connect to an existing 5-inch exhaust system.

• 3" to 4" Stacks: Common on smaller exhaust systems, vocational trucks, and replacement applications where clearance and factory-style fit are more important than oversized appearance.
• 5" Stacks: A common heavy-duty connection size and a practical choice for replacing an existing stack without changing the rest of the exhaust system.
• 6" to 6.5" Stacks: Add a larger custom profile while remaining available in configurations that reduce to a 5-inch connection.
• 7" to 8" Stacks: Built primarily for owner-operators who want a bold custom appearance and more visible chrome or stainless steel. Many use 7-to-5 or 8-to-5 reduced bottoms so the complete exhaust system does not need to be converted to the larger diameter.

Match the Bottom Connection Before You Buy

Do not choose a replacement stack by visible diameter alone. Check whether the bottom connection is listed by inside diameter (ID) or outside diameter (OD), and confirm whether the stack slips over, inside, or directly into the existing pipe or muffler.

Common configurations include straight 5-inch connections and 6-to-5, 7-to-5, and 8-to-5 reduced stacks. Reduced-bottom stacks are a good option when you want a larger custom look while retaining the truck’s existing smaller exhaust connection.

• Flat Top: Straight-cut opening for a simple, traditional vertical-stack look.
• West Coast / Turnout: Curves the outlet away from the cab for a classic swept-back profile.
• Bull Hauler: Tall, highly visible curved stacks popular on traditional custom and show-truck builds.
• Short 30: Uses a tighter upper bend for drivers who want a shorter, sharper turnout.
• Curved & Specialty Stacks: Includes Bullhorn, Aussie, Chino, offset, and vocational designs for distinctive builds or specific clearance needs.

Chrome, Stainless Steel & Aluminized Exhaust Stacks

Chrome-plated steel is the most common choice for custom trucks because of its bright finish and broad range of styles.

Stainless steel provides premium corrosion resistance for owner-operators who want long-term durability as well as appearance.

Aluminized steel is better suited to functional replacement applications where cost and heat resistance matter more than a polished show finish.

Check Stack Length & Installation Clearance

Exhaust stacks range from short replacement tops to full-height 84-, 96-, 108-inch and larger configurations. Measure your existing system and confirm cab, sleeper, bracket, and overhead clearance before ordering.

Also determine whether you are replacing only the top stack or need a lower stack, spool, elbow, reducer, or complete exhaust section. Some stacks are designed to slide directly into a muffler or existing pipe, while others require additional clamps, brackets, or adapters.

Complete Your Semi Truck Exhaust Installation

Finish the job with properly sized exhaust clamps and mounting brackets, exhaust elbows, heat shields and grab handles, or a replacement semi truck muffler. Matching the stack to the rest of the system helps avoid unnecessary cutting, adapters, and installation delays.
