Peterbilt 389 Glider Dash Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 389 Glider Dash Acc.

What is included in this category?

This category covers dash accessories designed specifically for the Peterbilt 389 Glider, including trim panels, dash overlays, switch and gauge accent pieces, and other interior dash components used to finish out or customize the dashboard area of a 389 Glider cab.

Will these dash accessories fit my Peterbilt 389 Glider, or do I need the standard 389?

Glider kit cabs can differ slightly from standard production Peterbilt 389 cabs depending on the builder and model year, so dash layouts and mounting points are not always identical. We recommend checking the listed fitment notes on each product page and comparing measurements or photos of your dash before ordering to confirm the part matches your specific glider configuration.

What materials and finishes are available for these dash accessories?

Most dash accessories in this category are offered in finishes such as stainless steel, chrome-plated metal, or textured/painted panels to match the interior trim of the cab. Material and finish options vary by specific product, so check each listing for details on construction and finish before purchasing.

How are these dash accessories typically installed?

Installation methods vary by product. Some pieces are designed to bolt or screw directly into existing mounting holes, while others use automotive-grade adhesive to attach over factory panels. Basic hand tools are usually all that is needed, but we recommend reviewing any included instructions or reaching out to our team if you are unsure about the installation process for a specific part.

How do I clean and maintain these dash accessories to keep them looking new?

For chrome or stainless pieces, a mild soap and water solution with a soft cloth is generally sufficient for regular cleaning, followed by a manufacturer-approved metal polish to maintain shine. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch or dull the finish over time. For painted or textured panels, a gentle interior cleaner is usually the safest choice.
