Freightliner FLC120 Sleeper Roof Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner FLC120 Sleeper Roof Acc.

What types of products are included in this category?

This category covers sleeper roof accessories for the Freightliner FLC120, including roof-mounted light bars, marker and clearance lights, air deflectors and fairings, antenna mounts, and related hardware designed to fit the contour of the FLC120 sleeper cab roof.

Will these roof accessories fit my specific FLC120 model year?

The FLC120 was produced over a long production run, and roof profiles and mounting points can vary slightly between years and sleeper configurations. Always check the fitment notes listed on each product page, and compare bolt patterns or mounting hardware against your truck before ordering. If you are unsure, our customer service team can help confirm fitment based on your truck's VIN or year.

What is involved in installing roof lights, fairings, or antenna mounts?

Most roof accessories require drilling into the roof or using existing mounting holes, along with sealing any penetrations to prevent water leaks. Wiring for lights typically routes through the cab interior to a power source. Basic hand tools, a drill, and sealant are usually needed. We recommend having a qualified technician handle installation if you are not comfortable working with roof penetrations or wiring.

How do I keep these accessories from leaking or corroding over time?

Proper sealing at every mounting point is the most important factor in preventing leaks. Use a quality urethane or silicone sealant rated for automotive exterior use, and check seals periodically, especially after extreme weather or long-term vibration exposure. Choosing accessories made from stainless steel, aluminum, or UV-stable polymers will also help resist rust and sun damage.

Are these roof accessories DOT compliant for lighting?

If a product includes marker lights, clearance lights, or other lighting elements, check that it meets FMVSS 108 requirements for color, placement, and visibility before installation. Product listings will note if an item is DOT compliant. If compliance information is not listed or you have questions about a specific application, contact us before installing.
