Kenworth T880 Mirrors & Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T880 Mirrors & Acc.

Will these mirrors and mirror accessories fit my Kenworth T880 without modification?

Most mirrors and accessories in this category are designed to match the factory mounting points and arm configurations used on the Kenworth T880. However, mirror setups can vary by model year and cab configuration, so it's important to check the specific fitment notes on each product listing and compare them to your truck's existing mirror arms and brackets before ordering.

What materials and finish options are available for T880 mirrors and mounts?

You'll typically find options in chrome-plated steel, stainless steel, and black powder-coated finishes, along with heated and non-heated glass options. Chrome and stainless finishes offer a polished look but may require more frequent cleaning to prevent water spotting, while powder-coated finishes tend to hide road grime better.

Do heated mirrors require any special wiring or electrical work to install?

Heated mirror heads generally need to be wired into the truck's existing heated mirror circuit, so if your T880 already came equipped with heated mirrors, replacement should be straightforward. If you're upgrading from non-heated to heated mirrors, additional wiring and a switch may be required, and we recommend having this done by someone familiar with truck electrical systems.

Can I install these mirrors and accessories myself, or should I have a professional do it?

Many mirror heads, arms, and brackets are designed for straightforward bolt-on replacement using basic hand tools, making them manageable for most owner-operators comfortable with routine maintenance. That said, jobs involving wiring, heated elements, or convex mirror alignment may go smoother with a professional installer, especially if you want to avoid blind spots from improper adjustment.

How do I know if I need a full mirror assembly or just a replacement mirror head or glass?

If your mirror arm, bracket, and motor (if power-adjustable) are still in good working condition and only the glass or housing is damaged, a replacement mirror head or glass insert is usually the more economical option. If the arm is bent, the mount is cracked, or the motor has failed, a complete mirror assembly is typically the better long-term fix.
