Kenworth T700 Switch Trim & ID Labels

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T700 Switch Trim & ID Labels

What exactly are switch trim and ID labels used for?

Switch trim pieces are the small decorative and functional bezels or surrounds that frame the switches on your Kenworth T700 dashboard, while ID labels are the printed or embossed inserts that identify what each switch controls, such as headlights, wipers, or marker lights. Together they help keep your dash looking factory-correct and make it easy to identify controls at a glance.

Will these parts fit my Kenworth T700 exactly, or do I need to check specific dash configurations?

These switch trim and ID label pieces are designed to match the factory dash layout used in the Kenworth T700, but dash configurations can vary depending on the model year and options your truck was built with. We recommend comparing the shape, mounting style, and switch cutout size of the part to your existing trim or label before ordering to confirm a proper fit.

What materials are these switch trim pieces made from, and how durable are they?

Switch trim pieces are typically made from durable plastic or chrome-plated plastic designed to hold up to daily cab use, including exposure to sunlight, temperature swings, and regular handling. The finish is meant to resist fading and cracking better than lower-grade aftermarket alternatives, though normal wear over time is expected with any interior trim part.

How do I install replacement switch trim or ID labels myself?

Most switch trim pieces snap or clip into place around the existing switch opening, and many ID labels are designed to peel and stick or snap into a designated slot on the trim itself. Before installing, make sure the dash surface is clean and dry, and take care when removing the old trim piece so you do not damage surrounding dash panels. If your specific part requires tools or a different mounting method, that information should be included with the product listing.

Can I use these labels and trim to customize or relabel switches for aftermarket accessories?

Yes, many customers use blank or generic ID labels to relabel switches when they have added aftermarket accessories or rewired certain functions. Just make sure the label size and switch trim opening match your existing setup so the new label sits flush and remains legible.
