Kenworth T700 Dash Knobs

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T700 Dash Knobs

What are dash knobs used for on the Kenworth T700?

Dash knobs are the control knobs found on the dashboard of your T700, typically used to operate functions like headlights, panel lights, wipers, heater and A/C controls, and other dash-mounted switches. They are often the small, decorative or functional caps that attach to a switch shaft so the driver can grip and turn or pull the control.

Will these knobs fit my specific Kenworth T700 model year?

Most dash knobs are designed to match the factory switch shafts used across a range of Kenworth T700 production years, but shaft size, shape, and thread pattern can vary. We recommend checking the listed fitment details on each product page and comparing the shaft diameter and mounting style of your existing knob before ordering.

What materials and finishes are available for these knobs?

Dash knobs are commonly offered in chrome-plated plastic or metal, and some styles include colored inserts or wood-grain finishes to match factory or aftermarket interior trim. Chrome and metal options tend to hold up better to daily wear than plastic-only knobs.

How do I install a replacement dash knob?

Installation is usually straightforward. Most knobs either press onto a splined shaft or thread onto a switch stem, and can be removed by pulling firmly or unscrewing a small retaining screw or nut. Always match the new knob's mounting style to your existing switch before removing the old one to avoid damaging the shaft.

Do these knobs include the switch or wiring, or just the knob cover?

In most cases, these are replacement knob covers or caps only, meant to fit over your existing factory switch shaft. They do not typically include the internal switch mechanism or wiring. Check the product description carefully if you need a complete switch assembly rather than just the knob.
