International WorkStar Bumpers

Frequently Asked Questions About International WorkStar Bumpers

Will these bumpers fit my specific WorkStar model year?

Our International WorkStar bumpers are designed to fit 2008-2017 WorkStar models, including the 7300, 7400, 7500, and 7600 series. However, slight variations exist between model years. For 2008-2010 models, you may need additional mounting brackets (sold separately). Always verify your OEM and model year before ordering, or contact our support team with your truck's specifics for guaranteed fitment confirmation.

What gauge steel are these bumpers made from, and will they hold up to daily work abuse?

Most WorkStar replacement bumpers in our inventory are constructed from 14-gauge or 16-gauge steel, depending on the manufacturer. The 14-gauge options provide maximum durability for severe-duty applications like construction and logging, while 16-gauge bumpers offer excellent protection for standard commercial use. All bumpers feature reinforced mounting points and are powder-coated or chrome-plated to resist rust and corrosion from road salt and weather exposure.

Can I install these bumpers myself, or do I need professional help?

Installation typically takes 2-4 hours with basic tools and mechanical knowledge. You'll need a socket set, torque wrench, and ideally a helper to position the bumper. Most bumpers use existing mounting holes, but some applications require drilling 2-4 additional holes. The main challenges are the bumper weight (60-120 lbs depending on style) and proper alignment. We include detailed instructions, and many customers successfully complete DIY installation, though professional installation ensures proper torque specs and alignment.

What's the difference between your economy and premium bumper options?

Economy bumpers feature standard 16-gauge steel construction with basic chrome or painted finishes, perfect for fleet replacements or budget-conscious buyers. Premium options include heavier 14-gauge steel, mirror-finish chrome, additional fog light provisions, and reinforced tow hook mounting points. Premium bumpers also typically include stainless steel hardware and come with longer warranties (3 years vs. 1 year). Both meet DOT standards, but premium bumpers offer superior longevity and appearance retention.

Do these bumpers accommodate factory fog lights and sensors?

Most replacement bumpers include pre-cut fog light openings that match OEM specifications for 4-inch round or rectangular lights. However, bumpers for 2008-2012 models may require modification for newer LED fog light styles. Regarding sensors, bumpers for 2013+ WorkStar models with collision avoidance systems include sensor mounting provisions, but earlier model replacements may need custom brackets. Always specify if your truck has special equipment when ordering to ensure compatibility.
