International LT Hood Emblems & Bezels

Frequently Asked Questions About International LT Hood Emblems & Bezels

What exactly are hood emblems and bezels used for on an International LT?

Hood emblems are the decorative "International" nameplates and logos mounted on the hood, while bezels are the trim rings or surrounds that frame the emblem, hood ornament, or lettering. Together they restore or upgrade the factory appearance of your truck's hood and give it a finished, polished look.

Will these emblems and bezels fit my International LT model year?

Most emblems and bezels in this category are designed specifically for the International LT series, but exact fitment can vary slightly by model year and hood configuration. Always check the product listing for confirmed year compatibility, and compare mounting hole patterns and dimensions to your existing hardware before ordering.

What materials and finishes are available?

These parts are typically offered in chrome-plated plastic or metal, brushed stainless steel, and polished stainless steel finishes. Chrome options give a bright, reflective look similar to factory trim, while stainless steel versions tend to hold up better against fading, pitting, and everyday wear from road exposure.

How are hood emblems and bezels installed?

Installation is generally straightforward and can be done with basic hand tools. Most emblems either snap into an existing mounting bracket, use adhesive backing, or attach with small studs and clips that push through pre-drilled holes in the hood. Bezels usually fit over or around the emblem or hood ornament and secure with clips or a light adhesive bond. No cutting or drilling is typically required if you're replacing an existing factory piece.

How do I keep these parts looking new and prevent corrosion?

Regular washing with mild soap and water helps prevent road salt, dirt, and grime from building up around the edges of the emblem or bezel. For chrome pieces, a dedicated chrome polish applied occasionally will help maintain shine and reduce the chance of surface corrosion. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners, which can scratch the finish or dull the plating over time.
