International LoneStar Mirrors & Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About International LoneStar Mirrors & Acc.

Will these mirrors fit my International LoneStar without modification?

Mirrors and mirror accessories in this category are designed to match the mounting configuration used on the International LoneStar, including the standard arm and bracket setup. That said, mirror equipment can vary slightly by model year and cab configuration, so it's a good idea to check the fitment notes on each product listing or confirm with our team before ordering to make sure you get the correct mount style and arm length for your truck.

What materials and finish options are available for LoneStar mirrors?

You'll typically find mirror housings and brackets available in materials like steel and chrome-plated finishes, along with heated and non-heated glass options. Chrome finishes offer a polished, reflective look that matches factory trim, while other finishes may offer a more subdued appearance. Glass options usually include flat, convex, or a combination of both for improved visibility.

Do these mirrors include heating and remote adjustment features, or are they manual?

Both heated and non-heated mirror options are available in this category, along with manual and remote-adjustable versions. Heated mirrors help keep glass clear in cold or wet conditions, while remote-adjustable mirrors allow you to reposition the mirror from inside the cab. Check the specific product description to confirm which electrical features, if any, are included and whether wiring harnesses or connectors are needed.

What's involved in installing a replacement mirror or mirror arm?

Installation generally involves removing the old mirror assembly from the mounting bracket or arm, then bolting on the new component using the existing hardware or included fasteners. If you're replacing a heated or powered mirror, you'll also need to reconnect the wiring harness to the truck's existing electrical connection. Basic hand tools are usually sufficient, but if your mirror involves additional wiring work, it may be worth having a qualified technician handle the electrical connections.

How do I know if I need a full mirror assembly or just a replacement glass or housing?

If only the mirror glass is cracked or the housing is scratched or faded but the arm and mounting hardware are still in good condition, you can often save money by ordering just the replacement glass or housing instead of a complete assembly. However, if the arm is bent, the mount is damaged, or the wiring is compromised, a full mirror assembly is typically the better option. Reviewing the parts breakdown on the product page can help you identify exactly which component you need to replace.
