International 9200/9400 AC Driers & Compressors

Frequently Asked Questions About International 9200/9400 AC Driers & Compressors

What do the AC drier and compressor actually do in my International 9200/9400?

The AC compressor pressurizes and circulates refrigerant through the system, while the receiver drier filters out moisture and debris from the refrigerant while also storing excess refrigerant. Together they keep your air conditioning system running efficiently and help prevent damage from contamination or moisture buildup in the lines.

How do I know if my AC drier or compressor needs to be replaced?

Common signs include weak or warm airflow from the vents, unusual noises coming from the compressor, visible refrigerant leaks or oily residue around fittings, and the AC system cycling on and off more frequently than normal. If your system has been opened for repairs, the drier should typically be replaced as well since it can no longer effectively remove moisture once exposed to open air.

Will this compressor or drier fit my specific International 9200 or 9400 model year?

Fitment can vary depending on the model year, cab configuration, and whether your truck has factory or aftermarket AC components. Always check the listed part number and specifications against your truck's original equipment before ordering, and if you're unsure, have your VIN or existing part number on hand when reaching out to our team for confirmation.

Should I replace the drier when I install a new compressor?

Yes, it's generally recommended. Anytime the AC system is opened up for a compressor replacement, moisture and air can enter the lines. Installing a new drier along with the compressor helps ensure the system stays properly filtered and reduces the risk of contamination affecting your new compressor.

Do these parts come with a warranty, and are they new or remanufactured?

Product listings will specify whether an item is new or remanufactured along with any applicable warranty coverage. Be sure to review the specific product details on each listing, as warranty terms can differ between manufacturers and part types.
