Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 567/579 Interior Accessories

Will these interior accessories fit both my Peterbilt 567 and 579 models, and what years are compatible?

Most interior accessories in this category are designed to fit Peterbilt 567 and 579 models from 2013 to present. However, there are some differences between pre-2018 and post-2018 models due to dashboard updates. Always check the product description for specific year compatibility, as items like dash panels, switch bezels, and gauge surrounds may vary. When in doubt, contact us with your truck's OEM for exact fitment verification.

Are the chrome and stainless steel interior pieces real metal or plastic chrome?

Our premium interior accessories feature genuine stainless steel or chrome-plated ABS plastic, depending on the specific product. Stainless steel items like door handle covers and air vent surrounds offer superior durability and won't peel or fade. Chrome-plated plastic pieces are clearly marked in descriptions and provide an affordable option with excellent appearance. All materials are DOT-approved and designed to withstand daily commercial use.

Do I need special tools or professional installation for these interior upgrades?

Most interior accessories require only basic hand tools like screwdrivers and trim removal tools. Items such as dash panels, switch covers, and door panels typically install in 30-60 minutes using existing mounting points. Some electrical accessories like LED interior lights may require basic wiring knowledge. We include detailed instructions with each product, and installation difficulty is rated on a 1-5 scale in product descriptions.

What's the difference between OEM replacement and aftermarket upgrade interior parts?

OEM replacement parts match your truck's original specifications and fit exactly like factory components. Aftermarket upgrades often feature enhanced materials, custom designs, or additional features like LED backlighting. For example, our aftermarket gauge bezels may include chrome finishes not available from the factory, while maintaining perfect fitment. Both options meet or exceed OEM quality standards.

How do I match interior accessories if I'm buying pieces separately over time?

To ensure consistent appearance, note the specific finish type (brushed, polished, or matte) and manufacturer when making your first purchase. We organize products by finish style and recommend complete interior sets when available. Popular finishes include polished stainless, brushed aluminum, and piano black. Keep your original invoice or product numbers for reference when adding matching pieces later.
