Peterbilt 357/378 Toggle Extensions

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 357/378 Toggle Extensions

What are toggle extensions and what do they do?

Toggle extensions are small metal accessories that attach directly onto your existing dash or panel toggle switches. They lengthen the switch handle, making it easier to grip and flip the toggle, especially useful for drivers with gloves on or switches mounted in tight, hard-to-reach spots on the dash.

Will these toggle extensions fit my Peterbilt 357 or 378?

These extensions are designed to fit the standard toggle switches commonly used in Peterbilt 357 and 378 dash and panel setups. Because switch styles can vary by model year and any prior dash modifications, it's a good idea to compare the switch style on your truck to the fitment details listed on the product page before ordering.

What materials and finishes are available?

Toggle extensions are typically made from durable metal, often finished in chrome for a polished look that matches other chrome dash accents. The finish is meant to hold up to regular handling and cab conditions without dulling quickly.

How difficult is it to install toggle extensions?

Installation is generally straightforward and does not require any wiring or electrical work. Most extensions simply thread or clip onto the existing toggle switch handle, so the job can usually be done in a few minutes with basic hand tools or by hand.

Can toggle extensions cause any issues with switch function or safety?

When properly installed and sized correctly for the switch, toggle extensions should not interfere with normal switch operation. That said, make sure the extension is seated securely so it doesn't loosen or come off while driving, and confirm it doesn't obstruct any neighboring switches or gauges on a crowded dash panel.
