Peterbilt 357/378 Interior Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 357/378 Interior Accessories

Will these interior accessories fit my specific year Peterbilt 357 or 378?

Most of our interior accessories are designed to fit Peterbilt 357 and 378 models from 1987 through 2007. However, there were minor dash and interior changes throughout these years. For example, pre-1993 models have different dash configurations than 1994-2007 models. Always check the product description for specific year ranges, or contact our customer service team with your truck's OEM for guaranteed fitment verification.

What's the difference between OEM replacement and aftermarket interior parts?

OEM replacement parts match original factory specifications exactly, ensuring perfect fit but often at a higher price point. Our aftermarket options typically offer similar quality at 30-50% less cost. For critical items like dash panels and gauges, we recommend OEM-spec parts. For accessories like floor mats, shift knobs, and seat covers, quality aftermarket options perform just as well. All products clearly indicate whether they're OEM or aftermarket in the product details.

How difficult is it to install dash panels and interior trim pieces?

Dashboard panel installation typically requires 2-4 hours and intermediate mechanical skills. You'll need basic hand tools, trim removal tools, and patience. The most challenging part is usually disconnecting electrical connections behind the dash without damaging clips. Many customers successfully complete the installation themselves using our detailed instruction sheets. For gauge cluster work or air system components, we recommend professional installation to avoid electrical issues.

What material options are available for seat covers and floor mats?

We offer three main material grades: Standard vinyl (water-resistant, easy to clean, 1-2 year warranty), Premium synthetic leather (more durable, better appearance, 3-year warranty), and Heavy-duty rubber for floor mats (oil and chemical resistant, lifetime warranty). For seat covers, the premium synthetic leather breathes better for long hauls and resists cracking in extreme temperatures. Rubber floor mats are ideal for drivers frequently entering/exiting in muddy or oily conditions.

Do you carry chrome or stainless steel interior accent pieces?

Yes, we stock both chrome-plated plastic and genuine stainless steel interior accents. Chrome plastic pieces cost less and work well for dash knobs, vent covers, and light bezels. Stainless steel options are available for high-wear items like door handles, window cranks, and shift plates where durability matters. Stainless pieces typically cost 40-60% more but won't peel or fade like chrome plating can after 2-3 years of use.
