Mack CV/GU Truck Lights

Frequently Asked Questions About Mack CV/GU Truck Lights

What types of lights are included in this category?

This category covers exterior lighting components for Mack CV and GU series trucks, including headlights, marker/clearance lights, turn signals, cab lights, and other replacement lighting parts designed to fit these specific chassis models.

Will these lights fit my specific Mack CV or GU truck?

Mack CV and GU trucks were produced over multiple model years with some variation in body and cab configurations, so fitment can differ depending on your truck's specific year and trim. We recommend checking the listed compatibility details on each product page and comparing them to your VIN or original equipment part number before ordering to confirm a proper fit.

Are these replacement lights DOT compliant?

Many of the lights in this category are manufactured to meet DOT and SAE lighting standards for commercial vehicles, but compliance can vary by manufacturer and specific product. Always check the product description and packaging for DOT/SAE certification markings to confirm the light meets applicable regulations for your application before installation.

Are these OEM or aftermarket lights, and does it matter?

This category includes both OEM-style replacement lights and aftermarket options. OEM-style lights are designed to closely match the original look, fit, and function of the factory part, while aftermarket lights may offer different styling, features like LED upgrades, or a lower price point. Your choice depends on whether you prioritize matching factory appearance or want added features and potential durability improvements.

How difficult is it to install these lights myself?

Most headlights, marker lights, and turn signals in this category are designed as direct bolt-on or plug-and-play replacements for the original equipment, making them manageable for someone comfortable with basic hand tools and electrical connectors. However, some installations may require matching wiring harness connectors or minor wiring adjustments, so it helps to compare the new light's connector type to your old one before starting the job.
