Kenworth W900A Fuel Tank Covers & Bras

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth W900A Fuel Tank Covers & Bras

What are fuel tank covers and bras designed to do?

Fuel tank covers and bras are protective and decorative accessories that fit over or around the fuel tanks on your Kenworth W900A. They shield the tank surface from road debris, dents, scratches, and corrosion while also giving the truck a customized, polished look. Many drivers choose them to protect the factory finish and extend the life of the tank exterior.

Will these covers and bras fit my specific fuel tank size?

Kenworth W900A fuel tanks come in different diameters and lengths, so fit depends on matching the cover or bra to your tank's exact measurements. Before ordering, check the tank diameter and length listed in the product description against your truck's specifications. If you are unsure of your tank size, measuring the tank yourself or checking your build sheet is the most reliable way to confirm a proper fit.

What materials are these covers and bras made from, and how do they hold up?

Most fuel tank covers and bras are constructed from durable materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, or heavy-duty vinyl and fabric blends, depending on the style. Stainless and aluminum options tend to offer long-term durability and resistance to weather and road grime, while vinyl or fabric bras provide a snug fit with some flexibility. The right choice often comes down to how much protection versus styling flexibility you're looking for.

How do I install a fuel tank cover or bra, and can I do it myself?

Installation varies by product type. Hard covers, like stainless or aluminum shells, typically secure with straps, clamps, or hardware around the tank, while bras made from vinyl or fabric often use snaps, zippers, or elastic edges for a wrap-around fit. Most designs are made for straightforward installation without special tools, though following the manufacturer's specific instructions included with your product ensures the best fit and longest-lasting hold.

Do fuel tank covers or bras interfere with fuel access, gauges, or maintenance?

Quality covers and bras are designed with cutouts or access points for fuel caps, sending units, and drain valves so you can still fuel up and perform routine maintenance without removing the entire cover. That said, it's a good idea to check the product listing or ask our team about access points before purchasing, especially if your tank has non-standard fittings or extra accessories mounted nearby.
