Kenworth T700 Fuel Tank Covers & Bras

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T700 Fuel Tank Covers & Bras

What are fuel tank covers and bras used for on a Kenworth T700?

Fuel tank covers and bras are protective and decorative coverings that fit over the fuel tanks on your Kenworth T700. They help shield the tank surface from road debris, chips, and minor scratches while also giving the truck a customized, finished look.

Will a fuel tank cover fit my specific tank size and configuration?

Fit depends on the diameter and length of your fuel tanks, so it is important to check your tank measurements against the product specifications before ordering. The Kenworth T700 was built with different tank size options over its production years, so confirming these details helps ensure a proper fit.

What materials are these covers made from, and how do they hold up over time?

Fuel tank covers and bras are commonly made from durable materials such as stainless steel or heavy-duty vinyl and fabric blends, depending on the style. Stainless steel options tend to offer long-term durability and resistance to corrosion, while fabric or vinyl bras are typically easier to install and remove for maintenance access.

How difficult is it to install a fuel tank cover or bra?

Most fuel tank covers and bras are designed for straightforward installation using existing mounting points, straps, or fasteners, without requiring major modifications to the truck. That said, having basic tools on hand and following the included instructions will help ensure a secure and properly aligned fit.

Do fuel tank covers interfere with fuel gauges, fill caps, or routine maintenance access?

Quality fuel tank covers are designed with cutouts or flexible panels that allow access to fill caps, gauges, and drain points, so routine maintenance should not be affected. If you need to remove the cover temporarily for service work, most styles are designed to be reinstalled easily without damage.
