International WorkStar Frame Light Bars-Panels

Frequently Asked Questions About International WorkStar Frame Light Bars-Panels

What exactly are frame light bars and filler panels used for?

These panels mount along the frame rails of your International WorkStar, typically between the bumper and the frame or below the grille area. They close up open gaps for a finished look and many include cutouts or built-in housings for marker, clearance, or auxiliary lights, giving you both a cleaner appearance and added visibility on the road.

Will a filler panel fit my specific WorkStar model and year?

Fit can vary depending on frame width, bumper style, and model year, since International made changes to the WorkStar platform over its production run. Always check the listed year range and frame specifications on each product page, and compare your truck's measurements before ordering. If you are unsure, our sales team can help confirm fitment using your VIN or frame dimensions.

What materials and finish options are available?

Frame light bars and filler panels are commonly offered in steel, aluminum, or stainless steel. Steel panels are often painted or primed for a factory-match look, while aluminum and stainless options provide better corrosion resistance and a brighter, low-maintenance finish. Choose based on your budget, climate, and whether you prefer a painted or raw metal appearance.

Do these panels come with lights included, or do I need to buy them separately?

This depends on the specific product. Some panels are sold as pre-drilled or pre-cut to accept standard light housings, while others come with lights already installed. Read the product description carefully to see whether wiring, bulbs, or light housings are included or need to be purchased separately.

How difficult is it to install a frame light bar or filler panel?

Most panels bolt on using existing frame holes or simple brackets, so installation is generally straightforward with basic hand tools. If the panel includes lighting, you will also need to run and connect wiring to your truck's existing light circuit, which may require basic electrical knowledge or a wiring harness. If you're not comfortable with wiring work, a truck accessory shop or mechanic can typically complete the install quickly.
