International S1700-S1900 Refrigerators-Mounting

Frequently Asked Questions About International S1700-S1900 Refrigerators-Mounting

What is included in an International S1700-S1900 refrigerator mounting kit?

These kits typically include the mounting bracket, hardware, and fasteners needed to secure a refrigerator inside the cab or sleeper area of your International S1700-S1900. Some kits also include a base plate or platform to stabilize the unit during transit. Be sure to check the specific product listing, as contents can vary between manufacturers.

Will this mounting kit fit my specific refrigerator model?

Mounting kits are generally designed around a range of common compact refrigerator sizes used in truck cabs, but not every fridge will match every bracket. Before ordering, check the dimensions and mounting hole pattern of your refrigerator against the kit specifications listed on the product page. If you are unsure, reach out to our team with your refrigerator's make and model so we can help confirm fit.

Is professional installation required, or can I install this myself?

Most mounting kits are designed for straightforward installation using basic hand tools and can be installed by anyone comfortable with routine truck maintenance. That said, proper placement is important to ensure the refrigerator stays secure while the truck is in motion, so take your time and follow the included instructions closely. If you're not confident drilling or modifying interior panels, a shop or dealer install is a good option.

How much weight can these mounting brackets support?

Weight capacity varies by kit and is typically listed in the product specifications. Always check that the rated capacity of the mounting bracket meets or exceeds the fully loaded weight of your refrigerator, including food and beverages, to avoid strain on the mount over time or during hard braking and rough roads.

Will installing this kit require permanent modifications to my cab?

Many mounting kits attach using existing hardware points or require drilling a small number of mounting holes into the interior of the cab. This means installation is generally considered semi-permanent. If retaining factory interior condition is a priority, review the installation instructions before purchasing so you know exactly what modifications are involved.
