International ProStar Gauges & Switches

Frequently Asked Questions About International ProStar Gauges & Switches

Will these gauges and switches fit my International ProStar?

Most items in this category are designed to match the factory dash layout used in International ProStar models, but exact fitment can vary by year and dash configuration since the ProStar was produced across multiple model years with some interior updates. Always check the listed year range and part number against your truck's existing gauge or switch before ordering, and compare mounting hole size and connector type if you are replacing an OEM component.

Are these gauges OEM parts or aftermarket replacements?

This category includes a mix of OEM and OEM-style replacement gauges and switches. Product titles and descriptions will indicate whether an item is a genuine International part or an aftermarket equivalent. Both options are built to work with your existing wiring and dash cluster, but if brand-specific fitment matters to you, check the part description before purchasing.

How do I know which gauge or switch I need to replace?

Start by identifying the function of the gauge or switch you're replacing, such as oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, or a specific rocker switch for lights or accessories. Comparing the physical size, connector style, and any printed labeling on the old part to our listings will help you find a matching replacement. If you're unsure, the part number stamped on the back of your old gauge or switch is the most reliable way to confirm a match.

Do these gauges and switches come with installation instructions?

Installation instructions are not always included, since most of these parts are direct plug-and-play replacements for the original dash component. Basic installation typically involves removing the old gauge or switch from the dash panel, disconnecting the wiring harness, and reconnecting it to the new part. If you're not comfortable working around your dash wiring, we recommend having a qualified technician handle the swap.

Will a new gauge or switch trigger any dash warning lights or fault codes?

In most cases, installing a properly matched gauge or switch will not trigger fault codes, since these components typically read from or control existing sensors and circuits rather than the truck's engine control module. However, using an incorrect or incompatible part can cause inaccurate readings or a non-functioning switch. If a warning light appears after installation, double check the wiring connection and confirm you have the correct replacement part for your dash.
