Frequently Asked Questions About International 4700-4900 Interior Accessories

Will these interior accessories fit my specific International 4700 or 4900 model year?

Most interior accessories for International 4700-4900 trucks are designed to fit models from 1989 through 2001. However, there were minor cabin variations between early models (1989-1994) and later models (1995-2001). Always check the product description for specific year compatibility, or contact our customer service team with your OEM number for exact fitment verification. Pay special attention to dash panel accessories, as dashboard configurations changed in 1995.

Are aftermarket floor mats and seat covers as durable as OEM parts?

Quality aftermarket interior accessories often match or exceed OEM durability when sourced from reputable manufacturers. Look for floor mats made from heavy-duty rubber compounds rated for commercial use, with deep channels for water and debris. For seat covers, industrial-grade vinyl or heavy-duty fabric options typically outlast original materials. Check product specifications for UV resistance ratings and warranty coverage - premium options usually include 2-3 year warranties against fading and wear.

What tools do I need to install dash panels and interior trim pieces?

Basic installation typically requires a Phillips head screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver for prying clips, 7mm and 10mm sockets, and plastic trim removal tools to prevent damage. Dash panel installations may require removing the instrument cluster, which needs a T15 Torx bit on most models. Door panel replacements additionally require a door panel clip tool. Most installations take 30-60 minutes per component with basic mechanical skills.

Do you carry interior accessories in colors other than standard gray?

While gray is the most common OEM interior color for International 4700-4900 trucks, we stock select items in tan and black. Availability varies by product type - floor mats and seat covers offer the most color options, while dash components are primarily available in gray to match factory specifications. Custom color matching services are available for fleet orders through special order with 4-6 week lead times.

How do I know if I need manual or air-ride seat accessories?

Check the adjustment controls on your driver seat - manual seats have mechanical levers on the side, while air-ride seats feature pneumatic controls and an air compressor connection underneath. Seat covers are typically universal between both types, but suspension components, cushions, and armrests are specific to each system. When ordering replacement cushions or mechanical parts, you'll need to specify your seat manufacturer (usually Bostrom or National Seating) along with the model number found on a tag under the seat.
