Created for Freightliner applications, the Herd Defender aluminum 4-post grille guard is built to fit FL70 and FL80 trucks from 1992-2004 while providing durable front-end protection with a clean, professional appearance. This heavy-duty aftermarket grille guard features a 12-inch extruded aluminum bumper, four fully boxed-in uprights, and 3-inch horizontal tubes designed to help protect the grille, radiator, and headlights from road debris and minor impacts. Standard features include a lower rake design, side and center eyebolts (depending on configuration), impact plates, light mounting tabs, and Herd's mirror-polished finish for corrosion resistance and long-lasting visual appeal. Select configurations also include a slam latch and lift assist to simplify hood access, while typically being designed without radar or light cutouts. Sold individually as a non-OEM replacement, this grille guard is backed by a manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Because certain model years may have multiple mounting hole patterns, verifying fitment before ordering is recommended to help ensure proper installation.
