Freightliner Century 112/120 Switch Trim-ID Labels

Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner Century 112/120 Switch Trim-ID Labels

What exactly are switch trim-ID labels used for?

These are the small identification labels that sit on or around the dash and switch trim panels in a Freightliner Century 112/120, marking each switch with its function, such as headlights, wipers, marker lights, or jake brake. They help drivers and technicians quickly identify controls without guesswork, especially important since dash layouts can vary between trucks and model years.

Will these labels fit my specific dash or switch panel layout?

Freightliner Century trucks were built over a wide production span, so switch panel layouts and trim styles can differ from one truck to the next. Before ordering, compare the label set or individual label shape, size, and wording against your existing trim panel or the switches you need to identify to confirm a proper match.

How are these labels installed, and do I need any special tools?

Most switch trim-ID labels are self-adhesive and designed to be applied directly to the trim panel or switch bezel. Installation typically just requires cleaning the surface, peeling the backing, and carefully aligning the label before pressing it into place. No special tools are needed, but taking your time on alignment helps avoid bubbles or crooked placement.

What material and finish should I expect from these labels?

These labels are generally made from a durable, wear-resistant material designed to withstand daily cab use, including handling, sunlight exposure, and minor cleaning products. Finishes typically match factory-style lettering and backgrounds so the labels blend in with the original dash appearance rather than looking like an aftermarket add-on.

Can I replace just one label, or do I have to buy a full set?

This depends on how the labels are packaged for your specific application. Some listings offer individual replacement labels for a single switch, while others are sold as a complete set covering multiple switch functions. Check the product listing details to see whether you are purchasing a single label or a full kit before ordering.
