Freightliner Cascadia 113/125 Switch Trim-ID Label

Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner Cascadia 113/125 Switch Trim-ID Labels

What exactly are switch trim-ID labels used for?

These small labels are affixed to or near the switch bezels and trim panels on the dash and door panels of Freightliner Cascadia 113/125 models. They identify the function of each switch, such as marker lights, fog lights, dome lights, or heated mirrors, so drivers can quickly find the correct control without guessing.

Will these labels fit my specific Cascadia model year?

Switch trim-ID labels are generally designed to match the switch layout used in specific Cascadia model year ranges, since Freightliner has updated dash and switch configurations over time. Check the listed year range and switch panel style on the product page, and compare it to the existing labels or switch layout in your truck before ordering to confirm a proper match.

How do I install a replacement switch trim-ID label?

Most labels are adhesive-backed and designed to sit directly on or beside the corresponding switch. Clean the surface area with a mild cleaner to remove oil, dust, or old adhesive residue, let it dry completely, then peel off the backing and press the label firmly into place. No tools or disassembly of the switch panel are typically required.

Are these labels made to handle everyday cab conditions?

These labels are made to withstand normal in-cab exposure, including sunlight, temperature swings, and regular handling. That said, they are a printed or embossed component rather than a heavy-duty mechanical part, so avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaning near the label to help the text and adhesive last.

Why do the switch labels in my truck fade, peel, or become hard to read?

Over time, UV exposure through the windshield, repeated cleaning, and general wear can cause factory labels to fade or lift at the edges. This is a common and normal issue on older Cascadias, which is why replacement labels are sold individually or in sets so drivers can restore clear, readable switch identification without replacing the entire switch panel or dash trim.
