Ford F600-F700 Truck Hood Replacement Parts

Frequently Asked Questions About Ford F600-F700 Truck Hood Replacement Parts

Will a replacement hood fit my specific Ford F600 or F700 model year?

Hood fitment can vary by model year and cab configuration, so it's important to check the listed year range and specifications for each hood before ordering. If you're unsure whether a hood will match your truck, reach out to our team with your VIN or model year details and we can help confirm fitment.

What material are these replacement hoods made from?

Replacement hoods are typically available in fiberglass or steel, depending on the specific part and manufacturer. Fiberglass hoods are generally lighter and resistant to rust, while steel hoods offer added durability. Check the product description for the exact material used on each listing.

Do these hoods come pre-painted or do I need to paint them myself?

Most replacement hoods are sold primed or unpainted, allowing you to match the paint to your truck's specific color. Some listings may offer a gel-coat finish on fiberglass hoods. Always check the product details to see what finish is included before purchasing.

What's involved in installing a replacement hood?

Installation generally involves removing the damaged or worn hood from its hinges or mounting points, then bolting the new hood into place and reconnecting any hardware such as hinges, latches, or support rods. Having a second person to help position the hood during installation is recommended, and basic hand tools are usually all that's needed.

Are hood-mounted parts like emblems, latches, or hinges included with the hood?

In most cases, replacement hoods are sold as the hood shell only, without hardware such as hinges, latches, or emblems. You'll likely need to transfer these components from your original hood or purchase them separately. Review the product listing carefully to see exactly what's included with your purchase.
