Western Star 5900 SBA Switch Trim- ID Labels

Frequently Asked Questions About Western Star 5900 SBA Switch Trim- ID Labels

What exactly are switch trim ID labels used for?

These small labels or inserts identify the function of each switch on your dash or overhead panel, such as marker lights, wipers, or dome lights. They fit into the trim bezel surrounding a switch so drivers can quickly identify controls without guessing, which is especially helpful when replacing a dash panel or restoring an older interior.

Will these labels fit my Western Star 5900 SBA exactly, or do I need to check switch panel style?

These are designed to match the switch trim bezels used in the Western Star 5900 SBA, but dash layouts and switch panel styles can vary by production year and cab configuration. Before ordering, compare the label size, shape, and mounting style to what is currently installed in your truck, and reach out to our team with your VIN or model year if you are unsure.

What materials and finishes are these labels made from?

Switch trim ID labels are typically made from durable plastic or a laminated material designed to resist fading, fingerprints, and everyday wear from cab use. Finishes generally match factory appearance, with printed or engraved lettering so the labels stay legible over time.

How do I install or replace a switch trim ID label?

Most labels snap or slide into the existing trim bezel around the switch, and no tools are typically required. If your current label is glued or worn in place, gently pry it out with a plastic trim tool, clean the bezel surface, and press the new label into position until it seats fully.

Can I order individual labels, or do they only come in sets?

Availability depends on the specific item, as some switch trim ID labels are sold individually while others come as part of a multi-label set covering several dash functions. Check the product listing for quantity details, and contact our parts specialists if you need a specific label that is not listed separately.
