Western Star 5900 SBA Floor Covers & Mats

Frequently Asked Questions About Western Star 5900 SBA Floor Covers & Mats

Will these floor mats fit my Western Star 5900 SBA properly?

These floor covers and mats are designed to match the factory floorboard layout of the Western Star 5900 SBA, including the contours around the pedals and doghouse area. Because cab configurations can vary by model year, it's a good idea to check the fitment notes on each product listing or reach out to our team with your truck's year and cab style before ordering.

What materials are these floor mats made from, and how durable are they?

Most floor covers in this category are constructed from heavy duty rubber or vinyl material designed to withstand daily wear from boots, dirt, gravel, and moisture. These materials are chosen specifically for their resistance to cracking and fading over time compared to standard carpet options, making them a practical choice for drivers who spend long hours on the road.

Are these mats easy to clean and maintain?

Yes, one of the main advantages of rubber and vinyl floor covers is that they can be wiped down or hosed off without soaking through to the cab floor underneath. This makes it much easier to remove mud, salt, spilled drinks, or other debris compared to factory carpet, which can trap moisture and odors over time.

How do I install these floor mats or covers?

Installation is typically straightforward and does not require tools. Most floor covers are cut to lay directly over your existing floorboard, sometimes with cutouts for existing mounting points or pedals. Simply remove your old mat or carpet, lay the new cover in place, and press it down to ensure it sits flush against the cab floor.

Do these floor mats help protect the factory carpet or flooring underneath?

Yes, that is one of their primary purposes. A quality floor cover acts as a barrier between everyday grime, moisture, and wear and the original cab flooring, which can help preserve the resale value of your truck and reduce the need for costly interior repairs or replacements down the road.
