Western Star 4700 Truck Windshield Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Western Star 4700 Truck Windshield Acc.

What kinds of products are included in this category?

This category covers windshield-related accessories for the Western Star 4700, including items such as windshield trim and moldings, wiper arms, blades and motors, washer nozzles and reservoirs, sun visors, and windshield mounting hardware. It does not include the windshield glass itself unless specifically listed as a glass product on the item's page.

Will these parts fit my Western Star 4700 regardless of model year?

Western Star made updates to the 4700 over its production run, so fitment can vary by year and cab configuration. Always check the compatibility notes or year range listed on each individual product page before ordering, and compare part numbers with your truck's existing components when possible.

Are these OEM parts, aftermarket replacements, or both?

Our windshield accessory listings include a mix of OEM and quality aftermarket options. Each product description specifies whether the part is OEM, OEM-equivalent, or an aftermarket alternative so you can choose based on your budget and preference.

Can I install these windshield accessories myself?

Many items in this category, such as wiper blades, visors, and trim pieces, are straightforward to install with basic hand tools and typically do not require professional labor. Components like wiper motors or moldings that involve removing existing trim or accessing wiring may be easier to install with some mechanical experience or the help of a technician.

How do I know if a windshield trim or molding will seal properly and prevent leaks?

Proper fit is key to preventing water or air leaks around the windshield. Make sure you are ordering a part designed specifically for the 4700's cab and windshield opening, inspect the old part and any seals or gaskets before installation, and replace any worn seals at the same time to help ensure a tight, weather-resistant fit.
