Volvo VNL Gen II Floor Covers & Mats

Frequently Asked Questions About Volvo VNL Gen II Floor Covers & Mats

Will these floor mats fit my Volvo VNL Gen II without modification?

These floor covers and mats are designed to match the factory floorboard layout of the Volvo VNL Gen II, so they should fit without cutting or trimming. That said, it's a good idea to confirm your cab configuration (day cab vs. sleeper) and model year, since floor layouts can vary slightly between trim levels and production runs.

What materials are these floor mats and covers made from, and how durable are they?

Floor covers in this category are typically made from heavy-duty rubber or vinyl designed to handle daily wear, dirt, and moisture. These materials are chosen for their ability to resist cracking and fading over time, though the exact durability can vary by manufacturer and specific product, so it's worth checking the individual product description for material specifics.

Are these mats easy to clean and maintain?

Most rubber and vinyl floor covers can be cleaned with a hose, pressure washer, or simple soap and water, then wiped or air dried. Because they're designed for commercial truck use, they generally hold up well to routine cleaning without warping or discoloring, but always check any care instructions included with your specific product.

How do I install these floor covers in my Volvo VNL Gen II?

Installation typically involves removing the factory or old flooring, laying the new cover into place, and securing it using existing floor mounting points or fasteners where applicable. Most covers are designed as a direct drop-in replacement, so no special tools are usually required, but reviewing the product's included instructions before starting is recommended.

Do these floor mats help with noise or insulation inside the cab?

Many drivers choose heavier rubber floor coverings because they can help dampen road noise and add a layer of insulation against temperature changes coming through the cab floor. While results can vary based on mat thickness and how well it seals against the floorboard, most customers report a noticeable improvement in overall cab comfort.
