Peterbilt 567/579 Interior Dash Trim

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 567/579 Interior Dash Trim

Will this dash trim fit my Peterbilt 567 or 579 without modification?

Dash trim pieces in this category are designed to match the factory dash layout of the Peterbilt 567 and 579 models, so they typically install using the existing mounting points and cutouts. However, dash configurations can vary slightly depending on the truck's build year and options package, so it's a good idea to compare the part number and dimensions listed on the product page to your existing trim piece before ordering.

What materials and finish options are available for this dash trim?

These trim pieces are commonly offered in materials like ABS plastic, chrome-plated plastic, and stainless steel, depending on the specific piece. Finish options range from woodgrain and carbon fiber looks to brushed or polished metal finishes, giving you flexibility to match or upgrade the look of your existing interior.

How difficult is it to install replacement dash trim myself?

Most dash trim panels are designed for straightforward installation using factory clips, adhesive backing, or existing screw holes, so many customers install them without needing a mechanic. That said, some pieces may require removing surrounding trim or panels to access mounting points, so basic hand tools and a bit of patience are recommended.

Will the trim color and finish match my existing interior?

Because dash trim finishes like woodgrain, chrome, and carbon fiber can vary slightly between manufacturers and production runs, we recommend checking product photos and descriptions closely and, if possible, ordering a single piece first to confirm the match before replacing multiple sections.

How do I clean and maintain my dash trim to keep it looking new?

Most dash trim finishes can be cleaned with a soft cloth and a mild automotive interior cleaner, avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that can dull chrome or scratch woodgrain and carbon fiber finishes. Regular dusting and avoiding prolonged direct sunlight exposure will also help prevent fading or discoloration over time.
