Peterbilt 386 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 386 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

Will these windshield, wiper, and roof accessories fit my Peterbilt 386?

Products in this category are designed to fit the Peterbilt 386, but fitment can vary depending on cab configuration, year of manufacture, and whether your truck has factory or aftermarket components already installed. Before ordering, check the product description for specific fitment notes, and if you are unsure, contact our team with your VIN or truck details so we can confirm compatibility.

What material are the windshield and roof accessories made from?

Depending on the specific part, you will find components made from stainless steel, aluminum, chrome-plated metal, or durable rubber and polymer materials used for weatherstripping and seals. Stainless and chrome pieces are generally chosen for corrosion resistance and a polished appearance, while rubber and polymer parts focus on sealing and weather protection. Check the individual product listing for exact material specifications.

Do wiper components in this category include motors, arms, and blades, or just trim pieces?

This category covers a range of items, so you may find everything from wiper arms, blades, and linkage parts to cosmetic trim and covers. Always read the product title and description carefully to confirm whether you are ordering a functional wiper component or a decorative accessory, since the two serve very different purposes.

How difficult is installation, and will I need special tools?

Many roof and windshield trim accessories are designed for straightforward bolt-on or clip-on installation using basic hand tools. Functional parts like wiper motors or linkages may require more involved installation and, in some cases, electrical connections. If a product requires drilling, sealing, or wiring work, this will typically be noted in the description, and we recommend having a qualified technician handle installation if you are not comfortable doing it yourself.

Will adding roof or windshield accessories affect visibility or driving safety?

Any accessory installed near the windshield or roofline, such as visors, trim, or light bars, should be positioned so it does not obstruct your line of sight or interfere with wiper operation. We recommend test-fitting parts before final installation and checking that all accessories comply with your state or provincial regulations regarding visibility and lighting before hitting the road.
