Peterbilt 367 Mirrors & Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 367 Mirrors & Acc.

Will these mirrors and mirror components fit my Peterbilt 367 without modification?

Most mirrors and accessories in this category are designed to match the factory mounting configuration used on the Peterbilt 367, but arm length, mounting style, and bracket design can vary by production year. Check the product listing for specific fitment notes and compare your existing mirror setup (hood-mounted, door-mounted, or cowl-mounted arms) before ordering to avoid returns.

What materials and finish options are available for these mirrors and brackets?

You will typically find mirror heads, arms, and brackets available in chrome-plated steel, stainless steel, and black powder-coated finishes. Chrome and polished stainless offer a brighter appearance and are popular for matching other chrome accessories, while black finishes are often chosen for a lower-maintenance, less reflective look. Heated and non-heated mirror glass options are also common.

Do heated mirrors require any special wiring or electrical work to install?

Yes, heated mirror assemblies need to be connected to your truck's electrical system, usually tapping into an existing heated mirror circuit if your 367 was originally equipped with heat, or requiring a new wiring run and switch if it was not. If you are replacing a non-heated mirror with a heated version, confirm your dash has the appropriate switch and that the wiring harness is compatible before purchasing.

Can I install these mirrors and accessories myself, or should I have a shop do it?

Basic mirror head or glass replacement is generally a straightforward job that can be done with common hand tools in under an hour. Full arm and bracket replacements, or adding heated/powered features where none existed before, involve more disassembly and wiring work, so many customers choose to have a qualified technician handle those installs to ensure proper alignment and electrical connections.

How do I know if I need a mirror head, a full mirror assembly, or just an arm or bracket?

If your glass is cracked or your heating element has failed but the arm and housing are still solid, a replacement mirror head or glass insert is usually enough. If the housing is damaged, faded, or the mounting points are bent or broken, you will likely need a complete mirror assembly or a separate arm and bracket kit. Inspect your current setup closely and compare it to the product photos and descriptions to determine the right level of replacement.
