Peterbilt 359 Interior Dash Trim

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 359 Interior Dash Trim

What materials are available for Peterbilt 359 dash trim panels?

Dash trim for the Peterbilt 359 is commonly available in materials like ABS plastic, stainless steel, and wood grain laminate finishes. Each material offers a different look and durability level, so consider the overall interior style you want along with how the trim will hold up to daily use and sunlight exposure over time.

Will this dash trim fit my specific year Peterbilt 359?

The Peterbilt 359 was produced over a long model run, and dash layouts can vary between production years. Always check the fitment notes listed on each product page and compare panel dimensions or mounting points to your existing dash before ordering to ensure a proper fit.

Do I need to remove my existing dashboard to install new trim panels?

In most cases, full dashboard removal is not required. Many dash trim panels are designed to install over or in place of existing trim pieces using the original mounting points, existing adhesive backing, or factory fasteners. However, some installations may require removing switches, gauges, or panel covers temporarily to access screws underneath.

How do I match the color and finish to my existing interior?

Dash trim is typically offered in a range of finishes such as woodgrain, carbon fiber look, or painted colors to match common factory interior schemes. Since lighting and wear can affect how shades appear, it is a good idea to compare close-up product photos or request a sample swatch if available before finalizing your choice.

Can these trim panels accommodate aftermarket gauges or accessories?

Some dash trim panels include pre-cut openings for factory gauges, switches, or vents, while others are solid panels meant for a clean look or custom cutouts. Review the product description carefully to see if the panel includes existing cutouts, and plan ahead if you intend to add aftermarket gauges, USB ports, or switches.
