Peterbilt 357/378 Floor Covers & Mats

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 357/378 Floor Covers & Mats

Will these floor mats fit my Peterbilt 357 or 378 without modification?

These floor covers are designed to match the factory floorboard layout of the Peterbilt 357 and 378 models, so they should fit without cutting or trimming. However, floor configurations can vary slightly depending on cab style, transmission type, and whether your truck has a manual or automatic setup, so it's a good idea to check the fitment notes on each product listing or confirm with our team before ordering.

What material are these floor covers made from, and how durable are they?

Most floor covers in this category are made from heavy-duty rubber or vinyl material designed to handle daily wear, dirt, and moisture common in a working truck cab. Rubber options tend to hold up well against fuel, oil, and cleaning chemicals, while vinyl covers often provide a smoother finish for a more finished cab appearance. Check the individual product description for specific material details.

Are these floor mats easy to install myself?

Yes, in most cases these are direct-fit covers that lay into place over your existing floorboard without any drilling or special tools required. Some installations may benefit from basic adhesive or trim clips depending on the design, but the vast majority of customers install these themselves in under an hour.

How do I clean and maintain my floor covers?

Rubber and vinyl floor covers can typically be cleaned with soap and water or a standard interior cleaner. For rubber mats, hosing them off outside the cab and letting them dry before reinstalling helps prevent trapped moisture. Regular cleaning not only keeps your cab looking better but also helps the material last longer under daily use.

Do these floor covers help protect the original cab flooring?

Yes, that's one of the main reasons drivers add a floor cover. They act as a barrier against spilled liquids, mud, salt, and general wear, helping to protect the factory flooring underneath and making cleanup much simpler than trying to maintain the original surface directly.
