Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 330/335/337 Floor Trim
Will these floor trim pieces fit my specific Peterbilt 330, 335, or 337 model year?
Our floor trim pieces are designed to fit Peterbilt 330, 335, and 337 models from 2005 to present. However, there were minor cabin design changes in 2011 and 2016 that may affect fitment. We recommend checking your OEM or contacting us with your truck's year and specific model configuration to ensure proper compatibility. Models with extended cabs or custom interiors may require additional measurements.
What material are these floor trim pieces made from, and how durable are they compared to OEM?
Most of our floor trim options are manufactured from heavy-duty ABS plastic or aluminum, depending on the specific product. The ABS plastic trim pieces feature UV-resistant coating to prevent fading and cracking, while aluminum options are powder-coated or polished for corrosion resistance. These aftermarket options typically match or exceed OEM durability standards, with many customers reporting 5-7 years of service life under normal commercial use conditions.
How difficult is the installation, and what tools will I need?
Installation typically takes 30-45 minutes per side and requires basic hand tools including a trim removal tool, Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, and possibly a 7mm or 8mm socket. Most pieces snap into existing mounting points, though some models may require drilling 1-2 pilot holes. The biggest challenge reported is removing old, brittle trim without breaking mounting clips. We include detailed instructions with each order and recommend having replacement clips on hand.
What finish options are available, and which matches the factory interior best?
We offer floor trim in several finishes: textured black plastic, smooth gray plastic, brushed aluminum, and chrome-plated options. For trucks with standard interiors from 2005-2015, the textured black typically provides the closest OEM match. 2016 and newer models often came with gray interiors, making our smooth gray option the better match. Chrome and brushed aluminum are popular upgrades for drivers looking to customize their cab appearance.
Do these trim pieces cover existing damage or wear spots on my floor?
Yes, our floor trim pieces are specifically designed to cover common wear areas including entry point scuffs, seat track damage, and general floor wear. The trim extends approximately 3-4 inches up from the floor edge and covers the transition area between the floor and door sill. Many drivers use these to refresh worn interiors without expensive floor mat replacement. However, they won't cover damage extending more than 4 inches onto the floor surface itself.
