Kenworth W900A Roof Trim

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth W900A Roof Trim

What exactly is included in Kenworth W900A roof trim?

Roof trim typically refers to the exterior molding and cab accent pieces that run along the roofline and cab edges of the W900A, including roof caps, cab trim panels, and related molding strips. These parts are primarily cosmetic, designed to cover seams, protect edges, and give the cab a finished, factory-style appearance.

Will this roof trim fit my specific W900A model year?

Kenworth made body and cab design changes over the years the W900A was produced, so trim pieces are not always universal across every model year. Always check the fitment notes listed on each product page and compare your cab configuration and dimensions before ordering to make sure the trim matches your truck.

What materials and finishes are available for roof trim?

Roof trim is commonly available in stainless steel or chrome-plated finishes, chosen for their durability and resistance to weathering. Stainless steel options generally hold up well against corrosion and are a popular choice for drivers who want a long-lasting shine with minimal upkeep.

How difficult is it to install roof trim myself?

Many roof trim pieces are designed to bolt on or attach using existing mounting points, making them manageable for an experienced DIY installer with basic hand tools. That said, some pieces may require careful alignment or drilling, so reviewing the installation instructions before starting is recommended, and professional installation is always an option if you prefer.

How do I keep chrome or stainless roof trim looking new?

Regular washing with a mild soap and water solution helps prevent buildup of road grime, salt, and debris that can dull the finish over time. For chrome pieces, using a dedicated chrome polish periodically can help maintain shine, while stainless trim generally needs less frequent polishing but still benefits from routine cleaning to prevent water spotting and residue.
