Kenworth T880 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T880 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

Will these windshield, wiper, and roof accessories fit my Kenworth T880?

Products in this category are designed to fit the Kenworth T880, but exact fitment can vary based on cab configuration, model year, and whether your truck has factory options like a sun visor mount or specific wiper linkage. Always check the product's listed specifications and compare them to your truck's setup before ordering, and reach out to our team if you're unsure.

What materials are these parts made from, and how well do they hold up over time?

Depending on the specific part, you'll find components made from materials like stainless steel, aluminum, chrome-plated metal, or heavy-duty rubber and polycarbonate for wiper and seal components. Stainless and chrome pieces are built to resist corrosion and road grime, while rubber and polycarbonate parts are designed to withstand UV exposure and temperature changes common in over-the-road use.

Are these roof accessories and visors easy to install myself, or do I need a professional?

Many items, such as visors, wiper arms, and trim pieces, are designed for straightforward bolt-on or clip-on installation using basic hand tools. However, roof-mounted components that require drilling, sealing, or wiring, such as roof lights or larger visor assemblies, may be easier to install with a second person or a shop familiar with T880 cab structures to ensure a proper weatherproof fit.

How do I keep water and air from leaking in after installing a new windshield or roof part?

Proper sealing is critical for any roof or windshield-mounted accessory. Use a quality automotive-grade sealant on any drilled mounting points, follow the manufacturer's installation instructions closely, and double-check gaskets or seals on wiper components and trim pieces for a snug fit. If you notice leaks after installation, it's often due to incomplete sealant coverage or a missing gasket rather than a defective part.

Will chrome or polished accessories discolor or fade with regular highway use?

Chrome and polished stainless components can maintain their finish for a long time with regular cleaning, but exposure to road salt, brake dust, and harsh chemicals can accelerate dulling or spotting if left unaddressed. Routine washing and occasional polishing will help preserve the finish and extend the life of these parts.
