Kenworth T660 Cab Lights

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T660 Cab Lights

Will these cab lights fit my Kenworth T660 without modification?

Cab lights in this category are designed to match the mounting locations and marker light openings used on the Kenworth T660, so they typically install using the factory holes and wiring points. That said, production years can have minor variations, so it is a good idea to compare your existing light housings or mounting bracket spacing to the product specs before ordering.

What materials and lens options are available?

Most cab lights in this category feature durable plastic or metal housings paired with polycarbonate or acrylic lenses, available in clear, amber, or smoked finishes. The lens color you choose can affect the visible light color, so be sure to check whether an amber or smoked lens requires a matching bulb color to remain street legal.

Are these cab lights DOT compliant for on-road use?

Many cab lights offered here are designed to meet DOT and FMVSS 108 requirements for marker and clearance lighting, but compliance can depend on the specific bulb, lens color, and mounting position you choose. Always check the individual product listing for DOT certification details and confirm the light configuration meets your state and federal requirements before installing.

Do I need any special tools or wiring knowledge to install cab lights?

Installation generally involves basic hand tools, such as a screwdriver and wrench, along with simple wire connectors or crimp terminals to tie into your existing marker light circuit. Most kits are plug-and-play with factory-style connectors, but if your truck's wiring has been modified or repaired over time, some basic electrical troubleshooting skills will help ensure a clean connection.

How do I keep cab lights from fogging, leaking, or failing prematurely?

Look for lights with sealed housings and quality gaskets, and make sure the mounting surface is clean and free of rust or old sealant residue before installation. Applying a thin bead of dielectric grease to the electrical connections and checking the gasket seal periodically can help prevent moisture intrusion that leads to fogging or corrosion over time.
