Frequently Asked Questions About Iron Sales

What products are included in the Iron Sales category?

The Iron Sales category features exhaust stacks, pipes, elbows, and related tubing components for semi-trucks. This includes straight stacks, curved stacks, and connector pieces made from stainless steel or chrome-plated steel, designed to fit a variety of exhaust system setups.

What materials and finishes are available?

Most stacks and pipes in this category are constructed from stainless steel or carbon steel with a chrome finish. Chrome-plated options offer a polished, reflective look, while stainless steel provides strong corrosion resistance. Be sure to check each product listing for the specific gauge and finish details, since these can vary by manufacturer.

How do I know if a stack or pipe will fit my truck?

Fitment depends on the diameter, length, and end style (such as slip-fit or flange connections) of your current exhaust system. Before ordering, measure your existing pipe or stack and compare it to the dimensions listed on the product page. If you're unsure, our customer service team can help you match the right size to your truck's exhaust setup.

Can these stacks be cut or modified to fit my rig?

Many straight stacks are sold in standard lengths and can be trimmed to a custom height with proper cutting tools. However, cutting should be done carefully to maintain a clean edge and proper airflow. If your stack has a curved or flared end, modifying it may affect fitment, so we recommend consulting an installer if you're not experienced with exhaust work.

Do I need a professional to install exhaust stacks and pipes?

While some truckers install stacks and pipes themselves, proper installation often requires secure clamping, correct alignment, and attention to heat clearance from other components. If you're not familiar with exhaust system work, having a qualified technician install or inspect the setup can help ensure a safe, long-lasting fit.
