International LT Switch Trim & ID Labels

Frequently Asked Questions About International LT Switch Trim & ID Labels

What exactly are switch trim and ID labels used for on the International LT?

These are the small identification labels and trim pieces that sit on or around the switch bezels in the dash and door panels of the International LT. The ID labels identify what each switch controls (such as headlights, marker lights, or fog lights), while the trim pieces are the plastic or chrome surrounds that frame the switches and give the dash a finished look.

Will these labels and trim pieces fit my specific LT model year?

Switch trim and ID labels are generally designed to match the dash layout used across International LT production years, but small differences in switch panel design can exist between build years. We recommend comparing your current trim piece or label shape and mounting style to the product listing photos and dimensions before ordering to confirm a proper fit.

What materials and finish options are available?

Trim pieces are typically offered in durable automotive-grade plastic or chrome-plated finishes to match factory dash styling, while ID labels are usually printed or embossed for long-term legibility. Finish options can vary by listing, so check the product description for the specific material and finish before purchasing.

How do I install replacement switch trim or ID labels?

Most switch trim pieces snap or clip into place around the existing switch opening, while ID labels are either adhesive-backed or designed to fit into a small recessed slot next to the switch. In most cases no tools are required, though a trim panel removal tool can help if the old trim piece is worn or brittle and needs to be carefully pried out first.

Why should I replace worn or missing switch trim and labels instead of leaving them off?

Beyond appearance, missing ID labels can make it harder to quickly identify which switch controls which function, which matters for safe and efficient operation, especially at night or in unfamiliar cab layouts. Replacing cracked or missing trim also helps prevent dust, moisture, and debris from working into the switch housing over time.
