International 9900/i/ix Windshield Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About International 9900/i/ix Windshield Acc.

What types of products are included in this category?

This category covers windshield-related accessories for the International 9900, 9900i, and 9900ix models, including items such as windshield trim and moldings, mounting hardware, wiper components, and related exterior hardware that surrounds or supports the windshield area. Each product listing includes specific details on what is included so you know exactly what you are ordering.

Will these parts fit all three models: the 9900, 9900i, and 9900ix?

Not necessarily. While these three models share a similar cab design, there can be differences in windshield frame dimensions, trim styles, and mounting points depending on the production year and specific configuration. Always check the compatibility notes listed on each product page, and if you are unsure, reach out to our team with your VIN or model year so we can confirm fitment before you order.

What materials and finishes are available for windshield trim and accessories?

Windshield accessories in this category are typically offered in materials such as stainless steel, chrome-plated metal, or durable plastic/composite, depending on the specific part. Finish options vary by product and may include polished, brushed, or painted-to-match styles. Product descriptions and images will indicate the exact material and finish so you can match your truck's existing look.

Are these parts easy to install, and do they require special tools?

Most windshield accessories, such as trim pieces and moldings, are designed for straightforward installation using basic hand tools. Some parts may snap or clip into place, while others require fasteners or adhesive. If a product requires a more involved installation process, that information will be noted in the listing. We recommend having a service manual or professional installer on hand for anything beyond a simple trim swap.

Will these accessories help with sealing and weatherproofing around the windshield?

Some products in this category, like trim pieces and moldings, can help maintain a clean seal around the windshield edge and protect against wear, but they are not a substitute for proper windshield glass installation or sealant if you are dealing with leaks or wind noise. If you are experiencing a leak, it is best to inspect the glass seal itself and address that separately from cosmetic trim or accessory replacement.
