International 9900/i/ix Radiators

Frequently Asked Questions About International 9900/i/ix Radiators

Will this radiator fit my specific International 9900, 9900i, or 9900ix model year?

Radiator core sizes, mounting points, and tank configurations can vary across production years and engine options for the 9900 series. Before ordering, check the specifications listed on each product page, including core dimensions and inlet/outlet locations, and compare them to your truck's original radiator or VIN-specific build sheet. If you are unsure, contacting our parts team with your VIN or engine type will help confirm the correct match.

Is this a new, used, or reconditioned radiator?

We list radiators in multiple conditions, including new aftermarket, used take-off, and reconditioned units, and the condition is noted clearly on each listing. Used radiators are inspected for cracks, core damage, and leaks before being offered for sale, but they will show normal signs of wear consistent with a working truck part. If a warranty or return policy applies to a specific listing, that information will be included on the product page.

What material is the radiator core and tanks made of, and does that affect cooling performance?

Most heavy-duty radiators for the 9900 series use an aluminum core paired with either aluminum or plastic tanks, depending on the original configuration or aftermarket design. Aluminum cores are common for their heat transfer properties and resistance to corrosion, while tank material can affect durability and repairability if a leak develops later. Check the listing details for the specific core and tank material before purchasing.

What should I check before installing a replacement radiator?

Before installation, inspect the mounting brackets, hose connections, and fan shroud clearance to confirm they line up with your truck's existing setup. It is also a good practice to flush the cooling system, replace worn hoses or clamps, and use the correct coolant mixture once the new radiator is installed. If the radiator includes an integrated oil or transmission cooler, verify those fittings match your truck's cooling lines before starting the swap.

Do these radiators come with any warranty or support if there is a problem after purchase?

Warranty coverage depends on the specific radiator and whether it is new or used, so review the details on each product listing for return windows and any manufacturer warranty that applies. If you run into fitment or performance issues after installation, reach out to our customer service team with your order details so we can help troubleshoot or process a return or exchange according to our policy.
